Fuel Line Replacement

Looked around and didn't get a great answer to whether or not if it's possible to replace the pre-bent fuel line from the tank to pump on a completed / body-on 69 Camaro.

Has anyone performed this replacement?  If so - any tips?

This is what we just found out last year single 3/8" Stainless & Steel lines BOTH have the same defect.

It was Impossible to re-bend the SS version, so we unbent to steel one to rebend it to make it fit the pass subframe clip and roll over point

I know you asked about 69.

We did NOT have to separate the subframe, it is a Pain and we were working over a in ground Deep Pit so we could attack it from underneath. So Often you need the vehicle Elevated to install lines.

Happy to see CRG website is up and running. I just replaced my fuel line from tank to under the hood on 1969 z28. I just happened to have my front fenders off due to cleaning the frame. But, that really would not have made a difference in the installation. The car had original fuel line installed. The original owner cut a piece out in the back for a possible electric fuel pump install and had cut a piece off the front for what I think was for an electric fuel line installation. Don't know what in what order that happened. Anyhow, I removed the fuel line by pushing it forward as far as I could past the rear axle then I pulled it out to the side. I purchased replacement fuel line from InLine tube. Made some slight bend adjustments so that it matched the original. I remove the parking brake cable at the right rear. I then installed the line in reverse of how I removed the original line. Pushed in at the bottom into the engine compartment as far as i could go. Then I moved the line to be parallel with under the body. I then pushed towards the fuel tank and pulling from the front. I made some slight bends during the install, but reversed the bends when basically all in place. Anyhow, it was easier than I expected. Hope this helps. Good luck.
