Bridgehampton: 1969 Camaro RS/SS 396 Z11 conv. Pace Car for SCCA Can-Am

A 1969 Camaro RS/SS 396 Z11 convertible was used as the pace car for the Inver House SCCA Can Am race held at the Bridgehampton Race Circuit in Bridgehampton, New York on Sunday, September 14, 1969.  The car has "Bridgehampton Race Circuit" on the front fenders, "OFFICIAL PACE CAR" on the doors and "Village Chevrolet" on the rear panels.  It has an Endura front bumper and aftermarket wheels.  Denny Hulme won the event in his McLaren M8B Chevrolet.

Not only did the Camaro pace the Can Am event it also was used as the pace car for a huge Ferrari parade that took place prior to the race.

Billboard for Village Chevrolet in pit lane.  Their name was on the pace car so they probably supplied it to the track.
