I went down this seatbelt cover wormhole when the topic appeared.. I got my assembly line Type 2 boots today. They're like brad new albeit tan rather than black. I fixed that with a few coats of SEM landau black. Anyways, I thought it interesting that the manufacturer of these type of boots was STEERE ENTERPRISES INC. from TALLMADGE OHIO. This company is still in business today. Interesting read here where they actually mention seatbelt covers in the 60"s

Well - I looked at the sea belt section and found this one-liner -"The 68-69 plastic cover over the mounting hardware of the center front belts is made from a similar flexible plastic, with the manufacturer's name, "STEERE ENT. INC., TALLMADGE O" molded on the inside."
Was this molded on every style?
