High Mileage Shocks and Struts

It's time for me to replace the struts and shocks on my 83 Z/28. I ordered the car from the factory and the car presently has 230,000 miles and the shocks are original! It's only been recently that I have noticed a slight front end bounce when going over dips and bumps.

Has anyone else got this kind of mileage on their struts and shocks?

I've got a VW Rabbit that's got 300k miles on a set of struts and are still like new.

I'm stiill running the originals on my 230,000 mile accord, but their time has come.
