69 SS headlight bezel finish

Does anyone know of a proper black paint and its proper finish to paint my silver headlight bezels the correct black? Just found that silver is incorrect for my car.

I just used a semi gloss on mine. I think there is a Sem colour that matches good....Joe

So my car, a factory fathom green X66 (which doesnt get the Z21) by default would get the black grille, black headlight bezel with the chrome ring, the vertical silver accented bars on tail lights and the accented quarter panel moldings?

Exacty. Mine too is X66. What our cars don't have is rain gutter & wheel lip chrome. Your car wasn't supposed to have black rockers or tail panel but you might look for evidence. Original black panels have been observered on dark coloured paint jobs of unrestored cars..Joe

I thought fathom green got green rockers but tailpan still got the black treatment?
