These are the homologation papers filed with ACCUS, the American affiliate of the FIA, to have the Camaro
certified as a legal Trans-Am car. While the Z-28 itself did not meet the minimum production total of 1000
cars produced, the Camaro SS was certified as a "Group I" car (which did exceed the production total) and
the Z-28 was classified as a "variant" of the SS and was classified as a "Group II" car. Group II was the one
that qualified the car for Trans-Am competition. These sheets were provided to me by Matthew Prendergast.
Many more pages to follow as time allows.

Jon,

Any idea what engine they were trying to homologate ??? Not your normal small or big block.

Thanks for the question, Phil. You can read some information on that hemi-head 302 Chevy engine at the link below...

On looks alone, a very impressive piece. However, it did not deliver the horsepower to match its looks.

Has anyone seen or does anybody own some of those clear plastic '69 headlight covers? I swear I saw a set somewhere maybe 20-25 years ago but have not seen anything since.
