It has a Jerry MacNeish Cert of Authenticity that appears real - Jerry states original drive line and trim tag.  Its a good deal now, but assuming the price jumps in the final hours.

Danny, can you share?  I had some concerns about the vagueness of Jerry's report.  Never said that the engine was original, just showed casting numbers.

I too, am not used to seeing the word "original" missing. Especially when there was room on the trans part of the line to write it. Jerry owned the car and sold it in 2016 to a guy in Boston. One of his clients. I am not at liberty to say who the buyer is or the selling price, nor can I share anymore. I would say if ya have any questions, I would suggest talking to Jerry. ... Danny

So Jerry certs it be a Z28 original trans and rear end but makes no mention of original born with engine like he does all his certs?

Just wondering about the first page of the Jerry MacNeish reports. On the engine line, he typically puts "original" when the engine is original to the car. It only shows the block and head casting information. The rear and trans both mention original. Is this the original engine?

If it was proven that he did commit fraud on one of his certs it would end his business. I'm not saying that's the case here because he clearly doesn't say it's original. But, lying by omission is still a lie.

This was the seller's answer when the question about the report was posed.

"This vehicle has it's complete matching numbers drive train including the engine, we have posted picture of the vin hidden down by the oil filter and you can read the numbers. I'm not sure about the wording on the report but this is the original engine."

It's a good pad stamping. But the omission of the 'original' statement on two different appraisals is strange.
