Has there ever been a offset shifter stabilizer bar found on a documented original small block 67-68 with a 4-speed Muncie?

Yes,
All my cars have the correct straight rod. Just wondering if several or even one came on an original car. .. Danny

Are all of your cars LA Danny? I bought my LA 68 Z/28 in 1976. The shifter that was with it said to be from that car. It has the bent version but I can's say it's correct. I did some looking after you posted this. I will continue watching....Joe

VERY interesting point. By chance, every Camaro I own is a Norwood build. Maybe there was a difference between the two factories? The rubber does bind to the side slightly on straight bars. I was told that first design had an offset rod. But if true and it worked so well, why install thousands of straight rods after using the offset. Could be a fun research topic. Trying a big block one on a '68 Muncie shifter fits Perfect with NO rubber binding. So just wondering.  ... Danny
