Not an expert on the stamps, but I do seem to recall that the engine and trans partial VIN were done with the same stamp at the point on the line.  Amazing how different the fonts are.  Should have used wing-dings!

Not true. Common to see different engine/trans VIN stamping styles on OE drive train cars.
Learning more and more about less and less...

The "9" and the "6" on the trans "p" number and VIN are the wrong style font...

JEN JACKS.... lol they wanted to buy the black RS/Z that I played with and that Lloyd took to the next level, JJ told me they were going to stamp the block with the car's VIN... I told them it would not be a very good idea as I had been upfront about the engine and if anyone called me I would tell them the truth... that I put the V0409DZ in the car.
