This was just poor taste. The Mopar floral print tops, those people were definitely baked.

https://www.ksl.com/auto/photo?ssid=4643686&page=2#2  How about Olympic Gold, brown vinyl top, medium green interior.  No wonders it's painted yellow with a black interior now.

Another reason to own a '67. They didn't have stupid color combinations like that.

Lots of the combos look OK in person.
Gold with dk green looks OK and is common in other cars. Green with gold looks better, but no gold interior in 69.

Butternut doesn't work with those 714 seats....

I love the greens and golds for exterior colors, but don't care for green interiors along with it.  I'd rather see tan, black, or white interiors.  Matter of fact, both of our green cars have white interiors, one with a white top.  To me that works better, maybe classy would be a good word to use.  Plus it's not so daggum hot in the summer time  ;D

The car in question was definitely a special order. The selection chart in the ordering info has this statement:

This procedure does not apply to orders that specify a vinyl roof cover or two-tone paint as combinations shown are the only combinations that have been approved.

The dealer could over-ride any paint/interior combo on the chart by noting it in the special instructions section. But not vinyl roof combos. Brown is noted: Gold and Brown exterior colors only.

With BY, that top would look OK. But not with that interior.

67-8 had gold interiors. 69 went to green. Times were a-changing.

I recently saw a '69 GM Canada doc with an RPO code "ZP2  Trim & Colour Override".   It was for Lemans blue with a dark blue interior (71/715), like mine.

So I expect any overrides like these would have been on the shipping report.  Would it have also been included on the window sticker ?

Hard to believe but neither blue interior [715 & 716] was recommended with Le Mans blue paint.

I have three 71-71 715 Shippers Copies and ZP2 is not listed.
