Sorry if this is not the appropriate thread to share pics, but I finally got them uploaded:

Well apparently there was a break down in communication between the service advisor I was talking to and the mechanic working on the car, so I wasn't able to get any more information on the motor. He did seem confident about the casting number originally provided and mentioned the mechanic looked it up and stated it appeared to be a rare motor.

At this point the car is complete and ready for pickup so I'll just have to wait a couple of weeks for it to make it to Alaska and gather the additional information myself. I'll post back once I get my hands on the car.

Thanks again for all of the input.

May or may not help with identification, but I just got some pics of the engine.

No, that won't really help. What we need is a picture of the front pad behind the alternator and under the two heater hoses! You may have to remove the alternator to be able to take a good shot.

I figured as much. The car should be on the carrier today so I should have it around Sept 4/5.
