Here is the clutch, this was not with the car when i got it, however since the fan was in the car i have been hunting an original clutch. I found one and done some parts swapping and i think i came out ahead....either way we both got what we were looking for.  these seem to be like finding a tooth in a chickens mouth.
Good snatch Chris and note how the end is painted silver. That was on ours and have noted that on other originals. Good on ya!

Great  now will it require rebuild by KIRKCONNELL corvettes> or acceptable as is?

I called him and he has about a 2-3 week turnaround on rebuilds, very quick,

I'm likely to not ever use it. Just neat to have to go with the fan blade.

Assuming that this car is confirmed as a Z, wondering what this car is worth at this stage

check the inside of the glove box for tire sticker, this is another way of determining a z/28, the tire size should be 15".

This is one of many CLUES to look for.  The glove box door is an easily swapped item, so it is not a solid way for verification that a car is a Z28.

Do any of the data keepers happen to know what the latest known 68 Z build month is, some camaro guys on facebookcamaro forums are telling me. July is too late for my car to be a Z?

They built Z's in July.  Ignore the "experts" on fakebook.
