Did 1969 camaro's have a date code stenciled on the driveshaft? Is this just another urban lengend?
Thks.

I have seen stripes on the tube and dabs on the U-joint yokes, but never a stenciled date.

What about a date code stamped into the driveshaft? My 67 L35/M40 has one?

I've never seen any kind of date, stamped, painted, or otherwise, on any driveshaft on Camaros or Corvettes; only paint ID rings.

I have seen a unrestored 69 Chevelle with the part no. stenciled on the drive shaft. There was a long debate on it and some believe it was an early service replacement drive shaft and it came that way from the service parts counter?

My 67 z/28 still has it's original driveshaft and I havent found anything but stripes on it. One orange stripe and one white stripe.

The stamp on my driveshaft reads 3307 and is on an 04A built L35/M40 0-1 Indy pace car. I also found a similar stamp 0330 on the subframe when I cleaned it up? Ironically the QW 3.07 posi  rear axel was assembled 0330G1. Dunno who done it but its on there :)
