fuel tank quality

I haven't logged in here since it was the old style forum mostly because I've been sidetracked by building my old Harley but I'm turning my attention back to the 68 convertible this spring and I have a question. Can anyone here recommend a good quality repro fuel tank for my 68? Year one claims to have OEM tanks but they're a little pricey for me. I also saw a complete kit with straps, filler neck, anti squeek pads at Classic Industries for what looks like a fair price.  Any help on the parts or tips on the installation would be appreciated.

In my experience most any of the tanks are of good quality.  I bought a repo tank for my 69 and it looks very good.  I have heard that several companies are now making stainless steel tanks for first gens at reasonable prices...which I had waited and bought one of those.

The ones that Rick's sells that are made in Canada are very nice and priced right.  We like them better than the GM tanks,

Have a Ricks tank in the car for 6 years now. Fits good, affordable with no problems.

In case anyone else is looking for a tank, I found a bargain at mustangs unlimited. Canadian gm32a tank with filler neck included for $95. These guys are local to me and I may even be able to pick it up and avoid shipping costs.

I received the tank from mustangs unlimited yesterday and it looks very nice. I can't tell it from the original except that it is nice and shiny and the gas stays in it:)
