Ad states "Also want to add that this is one of those rare Camaros in 69 that vin was slightly off from tag as far as Camaros were concerned because they had problems with the following year production, just adds a little more history behind this gem."

Sure. 02D tag; VIN is N620236. More than "slightly off."

Good catch Bill.  ;)

Is the cowl tag real?

How right you are, William - nearly exactly 4 weeks. VIN for this car is within 50 cars of my Z11, an 03D car -

It may add a little more history to this gem....but his rear stripes are also backwards! :P

Also if it is a 02D car shouldn't it have a short spoiler like JohnZ's car?

From about 01B to 02D both were used in production; '69s may have initially been allocated to Z11s.

Darrell that is "more history on this rare gem"..... :o

This car belongs with the other thread we had going. You would think somebody would have figured out the emblem or the stripes.

Shoot if was a friends car I would rather re-drill and place the emblem in the correct spot, then look at that crooked mess.

a pencil tip of filler, and touch up paint would look a ton better, IMO. :)

Wow, those RARE GEMS from GM are all over the place.  I have a rare ZL-1 convertible RS, but silly GM, they forgot to add aluminum to the engine mold, so they used iron instead, and only filled up the mold part way, so my all aluminum 427 looks similar to a 350 cast iron engine.  But this only adds to the value of this particular car as you have the rarest ZL-1 ever.  It's the only one that looks like a small block.

The only thing NOT rare about this car are the plethora of "Boneheaded Idiots ???" trying to pass off this BS and bogus junk. ;)
