Trunk Splatter & Paint Detail '68

Seen Chicks trunk splatter pic's and decided to shoot a few detail pictures of where paint, splatter, [ Maybe it is Spatter}.. primer all come together and over lap. Or is it overlap?..  ;D   Anyway if anybody needs any detailed shots LMK... Danny
Notice on the right side the rods have SOME yellow and then it stops before it hits the rubber.

Then as it travels across it is not there until around the center it starts to return. The back rod stays clear until the last few inches cause the front rod is blocking it.. D

More.. See the small slip of yellow running across the top of the latch assembly... D

More, one side has more yellow near the top corners. Many more things to see, like primer etc.. D

Will add to my survivor trunk list Danny! The trunk spatter varied greatly from car to car on many that I've looked at but there was a pattern, like the spatter coming up on the latch and the body color on the two tabs under the shelf area and the punched out cut-out lips. That was another detail we added to our restoration. Note how the sound deadener was added to both quarters, which also varied. Looked at a 28K mile one owner butternut yellow car Friday and the trunk had a large amount of spatter paint.
