I am looking to replace the wheels on my 67 Camaro with a set of 15 inch Ralley wheels. My thoughts were to get a pair of 15 x 7's for the front and a pair of 15 x 8's for the rear.  Will the 8 inch wide Vette wheel fit on the back without hitting?  Opinions?  Thanks

I had 15x8" on my 68 Z back in the 1970s.  Should not be a problem.

I currently have Corvette 15 x 8 rally wheels and 255/60/15 tires mounted on the rear of my 69 with no problems.  The fronts are running the original 14X7 ralleys with 215/70/14  Goodyear Eagle GT II's.  I also have the 14" rears mounted like the fronts that I sometimes put on the car for local shows.

do your rears ever rub at all

Mine don't...  You'll get a rub every now and then in a turn or over a hard bump with those 15x7s on the front.  Not enought, generally to be a problem.

The only time my rears rub is if the car is fully loaded with passagers and I hit a large bump.  You'll also need to make sure your rear axle is centered on the car.  Mine was not when I first bought the car.  That was a minor adjustment, now everything is good.

how do you adjust the rear axle? my problem might be that i have aftermarket rallys. they are 15x8 but they have a 5 inch backspacing. i got them really cheap off of ebay. they fit perfect i measured the wheel in relation to wheel well and not the rear end and both side match but it rubs on the inside on the driver's side only when im in it. im wondering if i need the stock 15x8 with the 4 1/2 back spacing or if its something else. would bad frame bushing have anything to do with it because the rear most driver mount is shot. the rest look like new but the rear looks like it was over tightened.

I put Vette 15x8's all around on my 67. The fronts would ocassionally rub when I hit a big dip so after a few years I ordered ralleys from National Parts Depot that moved the tires inward 1/2". NO problems since!
