Darrell,

Sharp car, good project.

This reminds me a lot of my X77 - unrestored, apart since '80, all there but scattered (LeMans/white no VT).

You forgot the pic with the date code on the jack head rivet -

Regards,
Steve

Thanks Steve and Rick,  You all just educated me.  Didn't even know.  I did just find a rivet with 2 numbers...posting in a few. Hope this is it and how is it read ?

I'm enjoying it - really energizes me to start hauling stuff out of storage and into the light.

Man, I've got to get busy -

Keep it going, Darrell - you're doing good.

Between work, house chores, keeping mamma happy.. I've been about non-stop for several days now.   And I just discovered today that I left a box of BIG parts back at the current owners place.  We've talked and just trying to figure out when to get them.  It's the #480 distributor, smog pump, pulley and air tubes, #837 Alternator and deep-groove pulley, #668 Crank pulley, Water pump and pulley and exhaust manifolds.. DANG man I left half the engine there.  I had them in my hands moving them around and checking all the numbers.  I just set them off to the side and forgot them... I'm about brain-dead I think  :(

Or maybe this will get ya.. The greasy #403 Bell Housing, but it's in great shape. Just a little degreaser and good like new   ;D   or maybe THIS !!!  the Seat belts..lol  Yup some cleaning to do here also.

Thought this was interesting.  The original hood in excellent shape still (no dents or rust).  Remember the pics from the beginning where it was repainted the reverse colors.  Well I notice the original Dusk Blue just at the edge of the blue stripe.  Like it was part of the blue stripe itself with what looks like a masking tape line.   ???   just odd.
