I have a 1969 Z10 camaro with cowl induction.  I have the original setup with Quadra jet and a re-production air cleaner.  I am having trouble with the carb linkage hitting on the bottom of the air cleaner housing.  Any Suggestions?  Was there a factory spacer on the carburetor besides the small gasket?

Maybe the outer vent screws to the Dash pad?  Maybe they use the same hole to secure the outer vent and the inner duct?  The Assembly manual does not specify.

General Discussion / 1969 Camaro with AC

I am restoring a 1969 camaro with AC.  I am trying to get all of the Dash Ducts in place and have had trouble with the middle duct and the dash.  I attached it to the best of my ability and following the Assembly manual, however the manual does not give the best picture or instructions.  The metal dash seems to cover part of the middle duct.  I will attach pictures, just wondering if you forum members have any idea or guidance for me?  middle duct 1.jpgmiddle duct 2.jpgmiddle duct 3.jpg

Hello, I am putting a 1969 camaro together and am trying to figure out the placement of the middle AC duct as it exits the dash.  I will attach some pictures.  I am a bit confused as the dash opening is not large enough for the duct to come through.  I know the vent piece will fit into it, just not sure this is right?

Thanks Joe, I was looking at the assembly manual and it calls for a 9428471 screw to mount the tank, but cannot find it anywhere on the internet.  Do you have a pic of the proper screw?

what hose goes on the bigger port of the AC vacuum canister?  Is it the vacuum Source or the AC controls?
