its is a great book. refer to it a lot. but unfortunately it just has general Z data. not a bunch of comparing from early to late unless its spoilers or hoods or exhaust ect.

Jerry MacNeish's informative fact book on 69 Z/28's would be a good tool for you.

i recently acquired a 12A RS/Z with engine assembly of 11/21/68. so i would say its a relatively early car. the unfortunate part of the car is it is missing many of the dated accessories. my question is how early is too early? are September parts too early for this car or is acceptable? in the case of the wheels, i believe i need AD wheels and the only date ive found are september dates. is this the only known batch for the AD wheels?

Some one pulled the original ignition for an msd!! Still need to find a distributor for it. Good info though. Thanks

A car built with ZL2 will have a .75" hole just above the fuse box for the wiring harness. There is another small hole for the relay on the firewall above the RH rocker cover.

I have the POP full owner history and some receipts but no build sheet or dealer invoice. I'll have to check out that date code. Hood is pretty rusty. Was left out in the elements. But i will definitely check it out. The car was pretty original but a little rough.

That's what I thought as well since there wasn't a separate option for the air cleaner assembly. Thanks for your input

I've got an 06A x77 Z, I'm just beginning the restoration on it and I'm wondering if you could order a cowl hood with just a standard open air cleaner or was it automatic to get the entire air cleaner assembly  when ordering the hood from the factory? And if you ordered the cowl hood did you always get the 302 badging? The car came with a cowl hood w/ 302 emblem holes but no induction equipment (relay, accel lever,ect...) car was very original paint and parts wise. More info would be great.

i am looking to possibly sell some 1969 rally sport parts and i am courious as to what the parts woul be worth. i have everything needed to convert to a rallysport. i have gm fenders that were bought from gm in the 80's, inner fenders (with factory cut holes), NOS grille, NOS grille trim, NOS chrome door grills, complete headlight buckets, all the actuator brackets, headlight switch, resivor tank, whiper motor, correct tail light buckets and lens, and a cherry pair of original acuator shields with part numbes. all parts are gm and have the part numbers on them and are in cherry shape. if any one knows what the value of this group of parts could be worth, please let me know
