No just that tag it's in an ebay listing. I know the rivets don't look correct, but the has had qhat looks to be extensive sheet metal work. So maybe it's been removed and put back on? It's an ebay listing.

I'm in Northern Nevada. I know of a few 69's Z's in the area however none are blue. I'll keep an eye out for you though.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/403987992037?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=vEKjFqq5S5y&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=_hfPqSY7QGa&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

Any thoughts on if the trim tag in this ebay auction is factory, or reproduction? It would take a small fortune to get back on the road but I love the color combo.

Restoration / Radiator core support
July 25, 2022, 05:05:14 PM
I tried searching but didn't turn up anything so sorry if this is a easy one to answer. Is there a difference in core spports between years? I'm sure they all interchange but are there other differences? I need one for my 67 and have ran across what looks to be a good deal onone from a 68. I would like to keep my 67 as correct as possible even though it needs a lot of work.
Thanks in advance!

Decoding/Numbers / Re: 1968 copo?

Thanks everyone for responding. I didn't know about a 68 copo until now. Sounds like it was just a sway bar and spedo change for Mr. Yenko. Too bad this car never had the 427 swap somehow I think that would make it more valuable but it is still a cool car as any L78 is.

I wish it were mine but it's more than 8k VIN numbers away from mine. Oh well I keep hoping.

Big red is very cool. while i like orginal cars I don't mind cars that have been modified if they're no longer matching numbers. It helps keep the interest in classic cars alive. If it helps spark the interest of one young person and helps keep them out of trouble it's worth it. Last there's nothing wrong with humbling Lamborghini,  Ferrari and other exotic owners.

Garage Talk / Re: Cougar or Firebird
May 26, 2021, 09:33:13 PM
I kinda like cougers and would take one over a mustang but in this case I would take the trans am. Unique car that really looks nice. I never really found the beak looking nose good looking on most os the 60's Pontiac's but when they redid the firebird for 69 I feel they got it right. Then I also feel GM'S build quality in the 60's and early 70's was better than ford or Chrysler stuff. So for  me t/a it is.

Garage Talk / Re: Bored with LS swaps?

I get why people LS swap and don't care as long as a matching numbers car isn't hacked up to do one.  I don't go out of my way to check them out. Kinda make you feel like the flathead guys when the SBC was the hot ticket in the late 50's and 60's though.
