Window sticker has all go fast goodies. Cool Camaro. He sourced a hood tach too. Yea.. purpose built car there.

Im only in these louvers for $100 so im going to send out to rechrome and restore myself. Ill never have anything close to a 100 point car but I like doing what I can with AL parts when I can.

I have a pair of assembly line louvers that I will be having re-chromed soon. Hoping someone who has restored them can provide some guidance on the black and silver paint and prep that will need to be applied.

1) Closest match silver and black paint?
2) Surface prep for painting?

I read something here about the argent silver being the closest match for the "stacks"

My theory on posting it is that a little information is better than no information at all. So in that regard it holds value.

That post made me dizzy.. yes as Joe said there is a technique that is sort of a specialized procedure that can make the numbers readable. Ive seen it done on obliterated firearm serials.

Maybe go for a spin running commando with no t-stat and see how hot it gets.. then work backwards from there selecting a thermostat. If it gets hot without, then maybe a jacket is obstucted.

Knowing that, I should have put ZL1 Yenko in quotes to note sarcasm. Were those blocks good? I think thats the first one ive seen.

Saw this for sale out of Columbia SC. Claims real ZL1 Yenko. Has a 6 cyl VIN.
