Hi Kurt,

That would make life easier having a spreadsheet, as you can tell I am a bit old school and still leaning to navigate my way around these things. I will seek some help to get the spreadsheet set up for me, it will also help me with my First Generation Camaro data that I have been collecting from various sources of advertised cars, auctions and car meet/car shows that contained VIN and TRIM TAG details of around 540 cars between the three years that are residing in Australia during last 20 years.
I believe that as many as another 100 - 200 cars to be here that have been offered for sale but had no details of tags for me to record.

Good to hear from you,
I think I didn't explain my question properly, in the cowl area where the partial VIN numbers are stamped there is also a H281 stamped to the right side of the vin stamping so almost the centre position of the cowl. I haven't come across so far of anyone mentioning this or in any literature, is this a standard body stamp on all Camaros or is it a date stamp for each individual body shell. I was hoping someone could shed some light on this.

Hi all, would anyone know What H 28 1 stamp in the centre of Cowl area represents, I was going through my photos that I had taken during the restoration documenting my hidden VIN numbers. I was thinking it might be a body date stamp, 28th August, seeing that my car is a 3rd week of September 1969 built but have not found anything yet to back my theory up.

What colour is the 6 cylinder is it Daytona Yellow or one of the other colours that you mentioned,
We also left out Butternut Yellow was also a candidate for the Yellow trim.
The Black car with the Yellow trim has been circulating on the net and talked about, have any of the other colours been noted.

Hi Kurt, thank you for the update that is great info to see survival rate. As far as I know there is also 1 Tuxedo Black car with the Yellow interior, over the years the information that has been floating around is that around 150 Daytona Yellow with Yellow interior out of total production. The cars you mentioned any break down between the models and is there any 6 cylinder cars found with this combo.

Over the last 25 years of ownership of a yellow/yellow interior 1969 z28 I have always wanted to research and see how many where made and as GM did not keep proper records it unknown.
So I have been doing some searching where ever I can obtain any information and have compiled some data for myself and thought to share it with CRG.

For the moment I have used paper clips to hold the loose labels to the belt so as I don't loose any more till I can talk to some of the companies mentioned in the replies. Currently I am missing a safety label from my left shoulder belt and a Hamill label from left front seat buckle belt. I had taken many photos in 2001 when the restoration was in progress but never paid a lot of attention to the dates and codes to now.
Not sure if the information on the belts I have noted will help with furthering with the data already gathered by CRG

My front belts and retractable are all 1907 and dated 27 B 69
Rear belts are all 1912 and dated 26 E 69
Shoulder Belts and the 2 centre buckles are all 1952 and dated 1 C 69

All buckles are RCF -65

D Rings
Front are HA2181
Rear  are HA2177

My car is a 3 week September 69 Norwood built

Thank you for your reply, I think some of them will need restitching the others look a bit more frail not sure if they can be stitched further in. Will now have to take all the seat belt out and look for an upholsterer and see what solution they come up with.
Being material would be hard I suppose to somehow glue them on the belt not sure if there is a product
that might work without the glue coming through the label.

Hi CRG,

I have an issue with my seatbelts which others might have had also, I recently noticed that the Hamill stitching label on one of my seat belts was starting to come apart which caused me concern so I decided to check the condition of all the other labels hoping that the others were much better and notice a few more were starting to come apart due to age and condition. Is there a way to save the labels as this issue now is of great concern as I have tried to keep the car as original as possible in my 22 years of ownership.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
