General Discussion / Re: 69/302 idle problem

Did you set the idle mixture with a vacuum gauge? The power valve is internal, wouldn't leak to the outside.

Check your vacuum, make sure you have the right power valve and it's not leaking.

The Flemington Speedway Historical Society also has a huge car show, I think they would like to have your car there.

Flemington speedway historical society might be of some help or someone on 3 wide's page.

Aaronz28,  you might want to check the accelerator cam and squirter nozzle size. I had kind of the same problem, the car never revved cleanly from idle. I found the accelerator cam was the flatist one. The kit I got had 5 cams so I changed to the middle one and also changed the squirter from 28 to 32.
This made a big difference with the off idle problem.

It's just a month different from the stamping, so it seems reasonable.

Maintenance / Re: 69 RF brake lock up?
July 30, 2018, 07:12:06 PM
Myblue67, I had a similar problem with my 69. With mine the rear brakes would lockup instantly. After replacing all the rear brake parts, turns out the front brakes weren't working at all. Seams both front rubber lines swelled and the metal bracket that supports the line wouldn't let any fluid thru. Maybe check your rear brakes to make sure they are working properly.

I found something similar and it was a glovebox emblem from a chevy truck.

I noticed the 1968 and 1969 picture labels are switched, but the description is correct.
