772 fan
« on: March 24, 2012, 02:18:56 PM »
My 69 ss396 Camaro was built 08E of 1969. The original cooling fan has always been missing. Are there any other 08E built cars that might have their original fan that might be able to tell me their date code so I could start looking for one please? It would'nt need to be a big block but woud have the 7 blade fan.
Thanks, Joe

2 versions of that fan were produced. One shows the 3947772 part number and a date.
The other version which was a lot more common has no date or part number.

3 months prior to build date would be acceptable.

You may find a limited selection of dates because July was plant shutdown and most other carlines were just ramping up for the new model year in this timeframe.
