American Icon: Muscle Car
« on: March 18, 2012, 01:55:46 PM »
Just wanted to share...

Anyone ever watch this show moderated by Chip Foose? Well, according to Mr. Leto the jury is still out on wether or not the Z28 is a true muscle car. Kind of ironic that this expert is speaking while pics of a Z with a Fan Shroud Caution Sticker and Firestone Wide Oval tires flash by the screen? Kind of deflates anything this guy says, wouldn't you say ???

Ahh yes...the muscle car vs. pony car debate still lives!

I have got to get me one of those fan stickers  ;)

Interesting article though and thanks for sharing.

Good catch John..... I saw that show a few months ago and it was entertaining overall but cracked up at every Camaro with that dang caution sticker you referred to Marty. Who the heck is restoring these things? The more we learn the more we notice how incredibly wrong some of these high restoration.

When I see these repeated fan sticker mistakes I often think of what Jake Holman said in the movie The Sand Pebbles:   "....pigeon see...pigeon do"  :D

Or how about that oil cap? Genuine GM lately service replacement. Would have at least look better with taking that black sticker off as its chome underneath. Nice looking car but I would hope producers check out or have a knowlegable person assist with making sure they have good specimens for these type of shows. Maybe they should use Wayne to check things out from Chasing Classic Cars.  ;D

I guess it's all about TV ratings and not actually getting any of the content correct. The caution fan sticker and black grille are just funny and this guy is an expert. ::)

Sorry. I tried just about everything I can think of to view this online and came up empty. Perhaps someone else can figure it out. The episode originally aired on 12-13-11 on the Velocity channel (364-Dish Net). I viewed it on 3-17-12. Here is a link for the same show. Some sort of a schedule reminder thing. I wouldn't sign up for the thing...there are too many personal questions if you know what I mean.

The heading is; Ford & GM pony sports. (2011) The classic muscle car formula and street supremacy is challenged by a ford & GM road race. http://www.locatetv.com/tv/american-icon-muscle-car/7285922

If Discovery did not yet release it for on-line viewing, you can't watch it again. Only if it's bootlegged on You Tube.
