Hello,

I own a 1970 Chevelle SS396. The original owner destroyed the original engine in the mid 70s and installed the current engine supposedly from a junk yard car. I recently ran the numbers and discovered that it was originally in a 67 Camaro as a 396 325hp. I'm not sure how many 67 big block Camaros were made, but it can't be a huge number. The engine has the original block, crank, pistons, rods, and heads. With some upgrades like full roller cam, lifters, pushrods, and rockers as well as headers, a performer rpm manifold, GM HEI, and a Holley 750 the car runs very strong and smooth. I'm not interested in selling the engine per se, but if the original car is still out there I would hate for the owner to not know where the engine is if that person is trying to find the engine. Someone on my Chevelle forum asked me to post here.

Thanks,

Brian

Brian, thanks for posting. The car's not in the database, but if it should ever show up, we'll definitely let you know.

Thanks Ed. I'm pretty sure the car is long gone, but you never know.
