68 kickdown lever
« on: June 07, 2011, 12:30:23 AM »
Does anyone know if the kickdown lever 3924412 pictured on page 355 of the assembly manual is the same for both the Holley and Rochester. If not does anybody have a picture of one that fits to a Holley.

My 1969 P & A Catalog states that the 3924412 fits 1968-1969/ALL  TH400.  No mention of any differences for the carb.

For 1968, the Holley was only installed on the Z28 and L78 (or L78/L89) engines, and neither of those were offered with an automatic transmisison, so it would be Rochester only.

What transmission are you running? For the M40 it looks like the 3924412 is for Rochester only and not required for the Holley.

I have a TH400 trans and it has the same kickdown switch that mounts to the side of the holley like the 69 setup. On 67 and 68 BB with TH400 it mounted to the side of the rochester like the holley but used a different mount bracket. The same switch was used on 67 to 69 BB Camaros with TH400. All i would like to know is what comes in contact with the switch on the holley to actuate it. Here's a link to the switch:    www.heartbeatcity.com/.../Camaro-Kick-down-switch-assy-T400--67-68-69/ - United States
