None of the 3600 or so replicas that were not actually at the race came with the door decals. The decals were provided by the advertising company associated with the Indianapolis 500. The story they were shipped in the trunk is just that, a story. No one has ever found a document from chevrolet indicating the decals had a part number, or a method for someone to order a replacement. The decals were installed by the preparing dealership that the cars were shipped to the Indy area, and if you look at pictures of the time you will see quite a bit of variance in the installation of the decals.
