Saw the ZL1 priess release yesterday - what a car.

For comparison, a 2011 SS  with the 6.2L, 426 Hp V8 and the 2SS package will have a MSRP of $35K or so depending on whatever else you might add.  The ZL1 has to be priced in the +$40K range easily and probably closer to $50K or so.

I wonder how long it'll take for the insurance companies to do what they did in the early seventies.......

There's going to have to be "line in the sand" drawn sooner or later........

The price is suppose to be comparable to the GT500.  I hate the hood on the new ZL1.  I'm holding out and still hoping for a new Z/28.

Always wondered which Chevrolet Marketing genius announces these exciting new models/options like the ZL-1 a full YEAR before they're actually available for sale ("beginning of 2012"). The people with money burning a hole in their pockets who want one get tired of waiting, and buy something else. If they'd announce them 4-6 months ahead of availability, it'd make more sense.
