Underhood Lamp
« on: February 03, 2011, 05:03:03 PM »
Does anyone have the RPO U26 Option you can post pics of. The V8 calls for one light offset to the far left, and the L-6 & 396 light offset to the far right. Seems strange that the call out for these lights is only 1, and are not installed at the center. Am I reading this right and if so, can anyone explain why? I'm sure there is a logical explanation but I certainly can't see it. Does it have anything to do with the breather or Cowl? If this is the case then why not install 2 so the light source is evenly distributed?

The light was designed to be used to illuminate the dip stick Marty, so whatever side the stick was on, that was where the light was mounted.

This doesn't matter to you but its a little more info.  The 67 hood lamp is different than 68 & 69 and mounts turned around and only has one mounting hole
