Proper thermo. Housing for 427 / 435 hp intake
« on: November 25, 2010, 12:02:27 PM »
Need to verify a thermostat housing for a 427 435hp intake.. Looks like a Julian date of 1595 and a couple of back to back "C" s. Also there is a small return spring hole similar to a  660 housing.
Thanks !!

We restore many of these intakes and they are usually sent to us with a 660 therm housing.

The 660 housing is correct for an L-71; the "ear" on the housing for a throttle return spring wasn't used.

My mistake gentlemen.. Had me wires crossed.. so to speak.. Thermostat housing is on another intake that was just picked up and not from the Tri...
Hope all you guys get a real good Thanksgiving "goose".. Up here in the cold country there is freezing rain a going on and very dangerous driving.
Ed, I hope things work out for you, and, above all,  stay busy!!
