« on: June 04, 2010, 09:10:16 PM »
when i got my 67 rag back from the painter it seems the top is out of adjustment after he put it back on the car. it does not fit snug onto the rear quarter windows when the top and windows are up. i am stumped. how do i adjust the top to fit properly. thanks

Is it the top or the windows that are off? Were the windows out of the car or worked on at all? I just adjusted all the windows on a customer's convertible.

i just put the windows back in and they seem to be ok. when they are all the way up they appear.ok i do not have  the chrome and mouldings on the windsheild yet but  when i push down on the front of the top above the windsheild as if it were attached there is a 1 and a half in gap from the top of the rear windows to the rag top.    does that explain it or am i sounding like a nut bar?

The windows on the car that left were very far off and required the usual adjustments to meet the top properly. Without a visual I can only guess this is your problem.
