Hot August Nights in Reno: 31 July - 9 August
« on: July 24, 2009, 05:32:33 PM »
Anyone going to be at Hot August Nights?             http://www.hotaugustnights.net/

Very convenient for me since I live in Minden, NV only 45 miles south of Reno.  That week is always a week of vacation time for me to relax, unwind, and enjoy the cars.  All 5500 registrations are filled.  Most of the slots for 2010 are already filled as well.  Quite an event - and the high desert is a great place for this event.

I've been going to HAN in Reno/Sparks for 19 years.  Great event.  Any CRG members showing their cars?

Don't get in a street race with that yellow '69 unless you are driving a Bugatti Veyron or equivalent.

Although I've attended every year since moving out to Minden in 2001, finally got the '69RS officially registered this year.  Will spend time between the Atlantis, the Grand Sierra Resort and the cruising in Sparks in the evening.

Charley,

How can I identify your yellow Camaro while strolling through the vehicles?  My blue '69 RS is pretty easy - NV plates "1969 RS"

Will definitely be there for the cruising on Fri and Sat evening.  Otherwise, mostly over around the Atlantis, Peppermill, and Grand Sierra.

Took quite a few pictures last week of 1st Gen Camaros and would have posted a link to them by now except the file server site that I use is down for a couple of days for equipment upgrade.  As soon as it is back up and running, I'll post a .zip file that can be downloaded from the site with the pictures of 1st Gen Camaros that iI took.

Also, the TV show Chop, Cut, Rebuild on Speed TV is currently building a '69 Yenko tribute car.  The car was revealed at HAN last week.  Not bad at all.  Nice modern tribute to the Yenko tradition, and yes, it has the LS7 engine it it.

The pictures that I took of 1st Gen Camaros at HAN have been combined into 4 .zip files on a file server.

To download the .zip files, go to the following link: http://www.romadyn.com:8000/Login

Login with username: FileXfer4; password:  123456

When you log in you should see a listing showing the 4 .zip files and their respective sizes.

CAUTION:  In the left margin there is a "Manager Users" link.  DO NOT GO THERE OR YOU RISK DISABLING THE LINK FOR OTHERS.  Simply select the .zip file(s) you wish and when prompted select "download" not "open".  Assuming no mischief with the Manage Users link, the .zip files will be on the server for 21 days.

When you are finished, please exit the server by "logging out".

Bon Appetite
