rear shoulder belts
« on: March 19, 2006, 10:17:09 PM »
Does anyone know anything about rear shoulder belts on 69 camaros?  I got rear ones but no front ones just lap belts seems odd. From looking at the rpo options it says only 37 camaros had this option . Is this something special or no big deal the car has the 712 interior Thanks, Scott

Don't know that I've ever seen them in a Camaro. There were 115 cars built that had rear shoulder belts - 78 standard and 37 deluxe belts.
Coupe or convertible? Std or deluxe belts?
What are the #'s off of the tags for the belts?

Thanks!

You should have a 2nd female strap by the trans hump with label that matches the shoulder.  That is what mates to the upper one.  buckle ends up on your chest. :D

Hi guys.. Old thread but somewhat on-topic..
I'm hoping that someone can reliably tell me what the configuration is of rear shoulder belts..

Is it the latch (male) or the buckle (female) that is on the parcel-shelf-mounted shoulder belt please?
Talking 69, Deluxe belts, in a Coupe.
I thought that they were the same configuration as the fronts -where the latch was on the roof-mounted shoulder belt and the buckle was mounted on the floor at the trans tunnel.

You know, I glanced over that article and missed it completely.  :-[
Thanks again.
