Question about the rear axle hard line for the brakes

I have read that the hard line was installed at the assembly plant... but when?
When the axle was dressed with springs, shock plates etc the axle was upside down making it impossible to install the hard line.


The reason I ask is because on the black RS/Z survivor the line was moved around so they could put U blots on the inside positions... when it was moved you can clearly see that under the line the rear had not been painted...the line masked it...

The rear axle brake lines, block, and flex hose were added after the axle was flipped over, turned 90*, and placed on the chassis carrier. After that, the engine/transmission, driveshaft, and exhaust system were added prior to marrying the completed chassis to the body.
