Does anyone know where to get a replacement for the plastic cover?

Just about any Camaro parts supplier sells the repro for around $30.00, Year One has them listed as part #CD260 and they can be found at www.yearone.com.  Hope this helps.................RatPack...........

Thanks, but that's not the piece I'm talking about.  I didn't word my question very well.  I'm talking about the flimsy plastic piece that you literally wrap around the steering column near the firewall.  I tried to clean mine up but only made it worse.  I could always scuff it up and paint it but I'll get a new piece if I can.

In this picture you can see the cross-hatch area of the column under the dash.

Oh you mean the one that covers the collapsable portion of the column, that is not available from any source other than used. I just clean them with a grey Scotch Brite pad and use Duplicolor Satin Clear Lacquer and "dust" a coat on it.  I hope this helps.................RatPack..............

I just sprayed it with some black paint for plastic.  I think that will do.  I was just hoping they might be available somewhere.

I know its a really old topic but this is I just need.
Actually can someone tell me the dimensions of this plastic cover? Like total length, and the diameters of the cone on the ends and the cone centerline length?
Thank You.

It's more like paper than plastic?

I happen to have my column out right now if you need measurements of it.

I can't testify to the accuracy of this; I've only had the car for about 3 years.

Video of the material.

All the sleeves I've seen and owned were plastic and tapered on the ends. Joint heat welded together. I can maybe post a pic.

Sure if You have some pics. Maybe different plants used different sleeves?
Or changed mid year?

The info on my car is in my sig, but it's an 11B LOS convertible if it matters.

I wonder if the paper is normally under the plastic part in question and my car is actually missing it?
