Hello! I'm new in this forum
I was searching information about Venezuelan camaros, and I found this post.
I'm owner of a Venezuelan Camaro, I bought it in Venezuela last year, but I live in Spain.

I'm trying to decode the TRIM TAG, but it's imposible, I don't know how to decode a lot of numbers!
This is my VIN:

12437JC113124

And this is the TRIM TAG:

            BODY BY FISHER
ST   12437JC113124      BDY
TR   715  926-161107    PNT

I'll try to put some photos

The VIN is easy, J=9 C= Caracas
I decode the interior code: 715= blue standar interior
But... what's this? 926-161107

Can you help me to decode?

Thanks!

Nice car! And not a common sight in Spain!

You have the highest VIN I have seen on a Caracas Camaro.
Do you know if the drivetrain is original? Do you have any of the stamped codes from the engine, trans, or axle?

926-161107 is a Dupont paint code. I can't ID what color that indicates but does not look like a production 69 formula.

Thank you very much for your answer Kurt!!
Yes, it's very difficult to see an american car in Spain. I know about 10 Camaros 1st gen in our roads...

Really? The highest? Guauu!!
I'll check all the codes and I'll post here, so you can get all the information about the car.
I think everything is original

I'm trying to search this dupont code, but don't find anything :( Can you help me?
Watching the old property title of the last venezuelan owner, I saw that the color was GREY, it could be?

Thanks a lot!!

The engine is a 350, I have to check if it is the LM1 350ci/255HP  V8 4BC, or the L65 350ci/250HP  V8 2BC.
Where can I see the engine code? Can I check it without removing anything?

The rear axle, I think it is the original. I have the codes:
The axle stamp is: BN 0605G2
BN=ratio 3.55, size, 12 bolts, type=N (non positraction)
The axle casting date is E239
E=may
23=day 23
9=1969

I'll try to get the engine number and the trans code

The engine code is stamped on the pad under the alternator. It will be a L65, too late for a LM1.

12 bolt - wouldn't have expected that.

Disc brakes?

Thanks!

I have bad news :(
My engine isn't the original :(
I checked the engine code and I get this:

GM 3970010 (a 350 block)
V1221TBM
C97141328

The suffix TBM in not a 69 valid suffix!! I think it is a '79 engine, could be? :(

Thanks!

That's a full-size Chevy Van, built at the Lordstown, Ohio van plant.

Hi Kurt! Yes, front disc brakes, with power brakes. Power steering, AC, power windows...

Wow, that's pretty loaded. More loaded than I would have expected.

Console and gauges?
1 or 2 fuel lines?
Any #'s off of the transmission?
