Could this car be a z or an  ss. It has a 12 bolt rear end and multi-leaf springs (5).

Thanx B

Probably not a Z with 5 leaf springs... probably an SS... Sounds like a 69 BB
Give us more info.  Like what year is it?  Cowl tag?  Numbers off rear end?

Look here to start:
http://www.camaros.org/suspen.shtml#MonoVsMultiSprings
and here:
http://www.camaros.org/diffs69.shtml  or possibly:
http://www.camaros.org/diffs68.shtml

Especially look where the footnotes about springs start by saying "Generally... but..."

Welcome to the site!  I noticed from your other post that you are looking for a Z.  Take that advice from Jeff68 and at least buy Jerry's books...
