Blacked out tail pan
« on: May 11, 2007, 01:36:52 PM »
I've read that some big blocks in 67 didnt have the tail pan blacked out if the body color was dark. My L35 is going back to the original maroon ( N-N ), should the tail pan be blacked out or not?

Also should the bumble bee stripe be white or black and if this could go both ways, which was more popular at the time.

Thanks
Rod

Sorry for the dumb question, was just reading ( on this site ) that only the tail pans on black cars were not blacked out.

Even though either black or white stripes were available on many exterior colors, white was more popular in the late 60's if you ask me.
