Has anyone found this or a correct replacement for the dual exhaust tailpipe hangers? Used to secure hanger to tailpipe.

Ty Terry but that kit does not include the long sheet metal screw like the one in my picture.

I wonder if you Search AMK Bulk and find "Tapping Screws - Hex Head" then select the correct length #14 ? I think ? not sure, cut off any captive washer with a Dremel tool cutting disc.
I bet Gardner has sourced it for their exhaust kits unfortunately they will not sell partial parts.

We need to Check Lloyds Build for possible details.

If the picture is your original I'd restore the original as both Lloyd and I have done on much of our hardware during restoration, or at least the hardware that cannot be sourced to match the original screws/bolts.

On Gardners website they show the rear hangers with a nut and bolt setup. Does anyone have an original screw that they can provide specs on?

Doc. I just took a quick look at my original exhaust 69 ss396 & it has the bolts as you decribe. I can get those specs tomorrow. Interesting though. I have a pair of original tail pipes out there that still have those hangers & they have the nut & bolt combo.
I just found a picture of the 12k ss396 that Guy had. It's has nut & bolt. His car & the 2 pipes I have are non chrome tail pipes. Mine has chrome...Joe

Thanks Joe, I think what happens is the hole for the sheet metal screw strips out and is replaced with the nut +bolt combo. The picture I posted has the screw. Gary (69Z28-RS) has an original screw setup, hopefully he will chime in. All the original hangers I have seen have the provision to accept the sheet metal screw vs a smooth hole for a bolt to pass through.

I don't agree with that. I believe that several vendors were used. If the hole strips out the nut & bolt won't lay flat on the bracket. The 1st picture is a 12k survivor 375hp that was judged 3 years ago at MCACN. This is a Norwood car built 05A. The next picture is my ss396 which has 157k miles. Built in Norwood 08E 1969....Joe

Doc, I purchased a Gardner exhaust for my project and although it's an excellent system overall, a few small parts fell short including the tailpipe clamps (your photo), the heat riser and some fasteners. I replaced the tailpipe clamps and heat riser with NOS which do come available on eBay regularly (I may have extra NOS clamps). The fasteners included with the system are good however I was able to source period correct bolts to attach the tailpipe clamps to the frame and the long head pipe hangers to the floor.

Doc. The screw you need looks alot like B-13230 except no washer & it's 1.710 inches of thread. No markings on the head. I didn't see anything like it in AMK. My hangers are stamped for that type screw. The other set I have are stamped for using a bolt & nut. Both are assm line originals....Joe
