Can someone tell me if the '69 Z28 ever had the M22 transmission as an option. I'm new to Camaro's and discovered my recently purchased Z28 has one. The car was a LA build in early March 1969. It has been verified as a original real Z

Yes.
2117 Camaros received the M22 transmission in 1969. It required the Z28, L78 or 427/425 hp engine option.
