C75 on 69 POP decoder?
« on: May 07, 2023, 01:36:53 PM »
Sorry I can't figure out what C75 is on the 69 POP decoder in the e position of POP value 3. Its in the same postion as C60, so it would be either air conditioning or C75?
Thanks - I'm just curious. I have a 1133_ no value for e.

C75 Air Conditioning Automatic Temperature Control is what’s listed. But the only thing on those cars that were automatic were the desire to go fast and the transmission.

C75 was Comfortron Heating/Air Conditioning and was only available on the full size cars. It was similar to the C60 Four Season system but was completely automatic. It had a single control lever and a dial to adjust the temperature (see below). Once the temperature was set (say, 75 degrees), and the lever set to Low, High, etc..., it automatically kept the car at that temperature.

It’s interesting how the rear is built in. I wonder if that is for the rear defogger or the people in the back seat. Fancy for sure.
