67' Trim tag help
« on: November 01, 2021, 10:46:08 PM »
Help with this trim tag? Does it look authentic?
What also throws me off on the car is that it has a black vinyl top but the trim tag doesn't have that on. The guy selling(3rd owner) has had it only for about 3 years and he was told it was dealer installed

Also, the engine matches the VIN. Does it look real or could it be re-stamped?

Discounting the sloppy VIN stamp, how 'bout the engine build code and casting dates - are they close ? VN has always proved to have some weird departures from Norwood - not just in the trim tags.

Even if the top was dealer installed, I doubt it adds anything to the value. And to some, would be a deduct. 14957x appears to be in the range for an 03C Camaro, but the stamp does not look good. It also looks like there may be another number after the last 7; possibly a 2?

Total click bait.  I was hyped to see a 67 foot trim tag.

I'm always skeptical of Fisher Body tags that were removed (lack the original rivets & cement) and have a highly desirable combo.  Here is an RS/SS 396, 4 speed, console.  So, my knee-jerk reaction would be fake until someone could prove to me the authenticity.
