Brake Line Brackets JL8
« on: January 19, 2021, 06:24:48 PM »
I am currently restoring my 1969 RS Z/28. I have removed and cleaned up the brake line hose brackets and they have JL8 stamped on them. The car had the wrong driveline in it when I bought it 26 years ago so I never saw the original rear-end to know if it had disc brakes. The car had a proportioning valve so I do not believe it was a JL8 optioned car yet I have to ask. Are all brake line brackets stamped JL8 for 1969 Camaros? ( I couldn't upload the pic for reference.)

Some very early built '69 Camaro's and Nova's had JL8 stamped into the front drum brake hose brackets.

No original JL8 Camaro will have "JL8" stamped into their front brake hose brackets.

If your car is a Z/28, why does it have front drum, brake hose brackets on it?

Warren,
If you keep it as a jpg file, it's a lot smaller file, meaning you can make the picture bigger. 4 times bigger, but 1/3 of the file size. I fixed it for you.
I dislike png files.....
