Good morning gentlemen - Kurt S and Gary
I would hope this question does not spoil your morning but, what dah heck eh?? No question is a stupid question... as the saying goes.
Why would GM date code the 1969 unit to either a 74 or 84 year? Were they (GM) storing 69 Rochester carbs in hopes that someone in future would want to purchase the carburetor, and at that time, the current codes such as line, numerical day, and abbreviated year would be applied to the '69 Rochester??
Have a good day laddies. Up here in Montreal it is sunny and 57 degrees F.
Take care!
Ted
