New tag with an 01A date [VIN is early June] and Garnet Red paint code-car is now black. Non-original rivets. What were they thinking?

I looked at a solid 70 RS at mecum that was green. It wasnt a great paint job but tolerable. Then I looked at the tag and it was supposed to be cranberry red!

What a dog. I rarely dislike any first gen, but this one is a tasteless example. You really expect a RS to have working RS headlight system, no sign of it here. Wheels and tires are just awful, stance is terrible, and the interior just doesn't get it. Very carefully worded ad, doesn't actually claim to be original or matching numbers, but does mention honesty and integrity as their business statement. Gotta love pop rivets. Thumbs down -

Regards,
Steve

Other than the wheels, its not a bad looking car. But I hate when cowl tags are swapped or when repro tags are put on to mislead people.

Seems the only advantage in the tag swap would be to make it appear to be a factory big block car. Since the only REAL advantage it has it the drop top I think it is a 30,s to 40,s car as discussed before.

Wonder why if they have a tag made, why not make it black? Car didnt do much for me. Something about the wheels and the stance didnt look right

Tag may have been swapped previous to the most recent resto.
