early 69 Camaro ss rim finish

      I imagine the front should be like a Chevelle silver and dark grey but the inside of the rim when the tire is off is a sand stone color. My question is I always thought the back side of a SS rim should be grey. Should the back side be the same color as the inside of the rim.

Not sure what wheel you have (guessing 14x7 rallye?), but it appears you or someone has just 'touched up' the tire sealing lip with gray primer.  The inner part of the wheel as shown, with the small rust spots, shows what appears to be original argent silver.

 I am talking about a ss rim I painted the front silver and dark grey and the rear grey but looking at the inside part of the rim it looks to be a sand stone color. I am wondering if they just painted the face of the front and did nothing with the back side if that is what they did the back should be sand stone color

That light grey is the color Rally wheels were when purchased through dealer parts. Don't know about SS wheels.

The warm grey color is the correct color for the reverse of the wheel.


Do you have the correct jacking instructions and the requisite screw driver for inclusion in your trunk?
Cars equipped with the SS wheel option included a wooden handled screw driver for removing the center cap.
This is the SAME SCREWDRIVER as was included with 1967 Corvettes equipped with the bolt on wheel option.

   No I really do not know what wheel came on my car. It is a early car so I am just going with rhe SS wheel

There is a different jacking instruction for the SS wheels (not offered repro)
As I stated they also used a flat bladed screw driver along with the UNOBTAINUM stainless capped lugnuts.

  Jacking sheet gone some one changed trunk lid at one time because it should be a non spoiler car, but now has a later trunk lid with a rear spoiler
