Sort of. Was on a lawn in Kuna, Idaho with a FOR SALE sign circa 1987. Was a bracket car at Firebird Raceway where it raced against another Cortez Silver ZL1, #13.

Known history back to the day it rolled off the assembly line, March 4, 1969.
Learning more and more about less and less...

One of the nicest COPO restorations I have seen. Done by a hobbyist working out of his garage.

Thanks for that William. Also was awarded the Judges platinum pick for best Chevrolet, my second.

Hi everyone, I was out of town for a while so thanks for messages. I bought my Camaro in 1972 from a chevy dealer here in Cleveland. It was my daily driver so winters and salt took its toll. I street raced it and took it to the track a few times, 11.62@118 with 9" slicks and open headers. The car has an x44 body and 9737 up grade --Tack, 140 speedometer and 15 inch rally rims. paint is 53 53 trim 715 and build date 07a.In 1982 I bought a house put the car in the garage and took it apart to fix the rust problems and here we 36 years later looking for the fix I never did.

SCW does great work, but it's out of the price range of many....

So are COPO's  :D

... depending on when you purchased it; the OP apparently purchased his in 1972...  :)

CPC:  I'd for sure love to see/hear more about your car..  photos maybe?   glacier blue with dark blue buckets; gotta be pretty sharp!  :)

If Mike isn’t available to do the restoration I’d suggest Frank at Arone Auto Body.

He does amazing work.

Agree with Gary, very sharp looking car, Glacier Blue on dark blue.
Do you have any photos of it back in the 70's when it was your DD?
