My air cleaner lid still has both the silk screening and the original '302' label on it, can check how one is clocked relative to the other if required, although mine is a 1969 vehicle not a 1967.
I would think though that during engine dress, the air cleaner lid went on without a moment's thought as to where the silk screening was located on the underside, and the line worker just focussed on applying the top label front and center.
Following up on this, the '302' decal on my air cleaner lid is clocked approximately 60 degrees off the AC silk screening on the underside. So looking down on the top of the lid, if the centre of the '302' decal is at the 6 o'clock position, the centre of the silk screening is at the 10 o'clock position. Both silk screening and decal appear to be original, based on comparison with known originals, but I cannot guarantee 100%, so the foregoing is just an observation.

Tim, I realize that description was difficult to explain and thank you for your tireless contributions, but  to clarify: the 10:00 position of the silk screen, is that as if you were looking through the top of the lid? Or, is that position determined by taking the lid off and (while leaving the decal at 6 o’clock) turning the lid over and observing? If I understand what you wrote, it was as if looking through the top of the lid?

Quite right Gary. Not sure what happened there! 120 deg it is.
Bentley - yes, as described looking down from above, looking at the top side of the lid. Top decal at 6 o'clock and silk screen at 10 o'clock, as though the lid was transparent.
